The course gives students an in-depth understanding of promotional activities; corporate journalism and publications; events planning; international public relations; communication plans; and fashion photography. Students study the art of integrating fashion and journalism and learn to exercise their knowledge in the real world of fashion journalism.

The Diploma in Fashion Marketing and Management enable students to acquire the fundamental thinking skills, understanding and knowledge critical to key fashion design and fashion business functions. At this stage students will develop a broad understanding of the field of fashion, marketing and management.
The curriculum of the programme will be delivered in a mix of teaching tactics ranging from lectures, demonstrations and seminars to tutorials and various assessment methods including assignments, presentations, research and development, projects, quiz and examinations. Throughout the programme, emphasis will be put on the fundamental conceptual abilities and aesthetic sensibilities of the students. The main objective of the programme is clearly about enabling students to develop basic tools that will be effectively used in the field of fashion and fashion marketing

The immense changes that arise from new developments in fashion industry are constantly altering the field of Fashion Communication and Journalism. These changes have also brought about unprecedented challenges and opportunities for both the prospective and active practitioners.
Recognizing the need to keep pace with the rapidly evolving environment, the aim of the Advanced Diploma in Fashion Communication and Journalism programme is to provide students an industry-focused design curriculum in a professional and creative setting.
In the programme, students will be exposed to a well-balanced course of study encompassing the fundamental theories and the most up-to-date technical skills in Fashion Communication and Journalism. The BA (Hons) International Fashion Business course is designed to offer an opportunity to study international fashion business in a creative environment to students with a range of ambitions and interests in fashion who do not, however, aspire to be fashion designers.
Students will reflect on global and regional trends in their work and will develop a style that reflects the Asian market, but also allows true global employability.
This course will offer students an understanding of the different roles in the fashion industry from trend analysis and prediction, through to the design, manufacture and the retail of products, and the role of marketing to the global consumer. The experience of working in partnership with Fashion design students will give students a real insight into the role of the fashion designer in the industry, and will therefore offer the students an advantage on graduation.
Students will be able to tap into the broad range of available career options (including buying, merchandising, marketing, branding, and launching their own businesses and will be encouraged to exhibit their own, diverse interests in the work they produce.
